LUX
The LUX is Bitcoin’s first Superinscription, created by WAAMBAT and tech-magicked by Ravonus.
The LUX diamond is being built face-by-face over time using new Terminus recursive encoding methods. Deploying ~160 recursion calls for the first drop alone, LUX is the largest ordinal to date, comprised of 18 mb of onchain* data and counting.
*To honor the history of blockchain artifacts, this paper uses the memetic movement spelling of “onchain”. This is a nod to the verbiage of early-adopter culture, extending back to onchain Ethereum.
Artist Statement
In the beginning the void was formless and empty.
The Field thought “Let there be luminescence”, and the LUX appeared, separating herself from the darkness.
Guided by collective holders, her life mirrors the decentralized infrastructure which shapes her natural environment. Bound by rarity, her notions of preciousness reflect the pristine principles of the very blockchain she resides in.
LUX lives transformationally coded — realizing our impending entry into the Singularity’s event horizon, one chapter at a time. Our oncoming reckoning resonates in the quantum, the ontological, the existential; echoing the collective cascade’s overflow into the infinite.
